S / 01 Vegetation

Autonomous mowing & vegetation.

The autonomous mower keeps lawn, paddock and exclusion-zone boundaries at a consistent height continuously — not reset between visits. Twice-weekly through summer and weekly through winter, about three times what a fortnightly contractor delivers.

  • RTK + LiDAR autonomous mowing across the mowable area
  • Manual edge work along hardscaping & stock fences — quarterly
  • Heavy slashing of overgrown paddocks scoped separately at install
~ 78 mow days / year
S / 02 Terrain

Slope management.

Sections up to 38° are handled by the autonomous system without an operator on the machine. That covers the great majority of Northern Rivers hinterland blocks — including ground a ride-on contractor would refuse on safety grounds.

  • Up to 38° handled autonomously, every cycle
  • Mapped exclusion zones for ridge sections & rocky outcrop
  • Beyond 38° — quoted separately on site assessment

S / 03 Compliance

Fire compliance.

The autonomous mower holds Asset Protection Zone grass height continuously — not just before fire season. Areas around dwellings and outbuildings stay at compliance height every cycle. The system logs cadence and zone coverage.

  • APZ inner & outer zone grass height held year-round
  • Coverage logs available for council / insurer on request
  • Annual pre-season vegetation review — included in management fee
NSW RFS · APZ compliant
S / 04 Absentee ownership

Holiday-rental & absentee maintenance.

The autonomous system runs to a fixed cadence regardless of bookings — twice-weekly through summer, weekly through winter. The property looks the same on day one of a booking as it does on day seven; fortnightly contractor cycles can't match this in Northern Rivers growing conditions.

  • Remote monitoring — AutoAcre tracks the system, not the owner
  • Photo reports on request
  • Out of scope: pool, garden beds, interior, pest — separate contractors
Guest-cycle consistent
S / 05 Specialty crop

Orchard mowing.

Under-tree and inter-row mowing for macadamia, avocado, blueberry and teatree plantations across the Northern Rivers. The autonomous mower works the wet-season window when ride-on contractor access becomes unreliable — holding ground-cover height through Dec–Mar continuously.

  • Inter-row and under-tree at consistent ground-cover height
  • Wet-season cadence — Dec–Mar, when ride-on access is limited
  • Crop pages: macadamia · avocado · blueberry · teatree

S / 06 Equine pasture

Sward control for laminitis-prone horses.

Continuous mowing keeps pasture sward at a consistent height every cycle — depleting the fructan and non-structural carbohydrate reserves in tall grass that trigger laminitis episodes. Pasture energy profile stays stable, not spiking on overgrown feed after wet weeks.

  • Sward held at a consistent target height — every cycle, year-round
  • Reduces fructan spikes in tall & stressed pasture
  • Suits EMS, PPID & founder-prone horses and ponies

Site assessment.

On-site visit to walk the property. We map mowable area, slope sections, exclusion zones, and infrastructure — charging dock placement, mains power, cellular coverage for remote monitoring. We tell you honestly whether your property is suitable. If it isn't, we say so. If it is, you leave with a fixed reference price and the option to lock in a Q1 2027 install slot.

System purchase & install.

You buy the autonomous mowing system outright at the reference launch price of $33,490. That covers the RTK base station, commercial-grade autonomous mower with LiDAR, professional installation, and boundary mapping. Most 3–7 acre installs take a single day; 10-acre blocks sometimes a second day for zone complexity. The hardware is yours from day one.

Ongoing management.

Tiered monthly management fee scaling with mowable acreage — from $165/mo at 2.5 acres to $650/mo at 10 acres. The fee covers scheduled maintenance, blade replacements, firmware updates, remote monitoring, and repair coordination. Mowing runs ~78 days per year. Ad-hoc on-site call-outs are $150 / visit when needed for edge work, manual mowing during downtime, or special requests.

Contract terms.

Management is month-to-month with 30 days notice. No lock-in. The mower is yours regardless — cancelling management means you operate it yourself going forward. Most owners stay on management because firmware, RTK base station tuning, blade scheduling, and remote diagnostics are work most acreage owners would rather not run themselves.

2.5 – 10 acre blocks where mowing has become a real time commitment.

05 typical conversations
The conversation

You own 2.5 to 10 acres in the Northern Rivers. The mowing has become a real time commitment, or your fortnightly contractor's cycle leaves the property looking under-presented for half of every fortnight. You'd rather solve it permanently than schedule it forever.

  1. W / 01 Established lifestyle-acreage owners. Paying $800 – $1,500 / month to a fortnightly contractor and not quite getting what they want for the money.
  2. W / 02 Holiday-rental & absentee owners. Need the property consistent across every booking, without coordinating contractor visits from interstate.
  3. W / 03 Equestrian & rural-residential blocks. Rotational paddock management, stock-fence edges, and bushland margins to hold to APZ height.
  4. W / 04 Slope-heavy blocks. Sections the ride-on contractor refuses on safety grounds — handled autonomously, every cycle, up to 38°.
  5. W / 05 Northern Rivers orchards. Macadamia, avocado, blueberry & teatree growers needing under-tree and inter-row coverage through the wet season — when ride-on access becomes unreliable.
Below 2.5 acres
A consumer wire-bounded mower (Husqvarna Automower, Mammotion Luba) is usually the better economic fit — we'll say so honestly on assessment.
Above 10 acres
Commercial scope. Multi-unit deployments, scoped and quoted per site — see the Commercial page.
